    About the speaker

    Weintraub_Marty_high_res

Marty’s online marketing experience dates to 1992, the dawn of the interactive era; however, his career has spanned more than two decades working in traditional and online marketing channels. Marty has been described as “not your typical agency type.” A “social media maverick” and “more innovator than follower,” Marty is often leading the conversations about search and social media marketing, and aimClear has become internationally recognized for its work in the field.

He describes his fondness for the industry as akin to Italian cooking and the Beatles. “Industry folks are the coolest professionals I’ve ever known. I love the ebb and flow of content, traffic, viral propagation, and waves of buzz. I love it like music.”

An avid blogger, Marty shares his insights via aimClear blog, as well as in blogs and columns for SearchEngineLand, SearchEngineWatch, and Search Marketing Standard. Marty has spoken at multiple conferences, including Search Engine Strategies (SES), Search Marketing Expo (SMX), PubCon, International Search Summit, BlueGlass South, Direct Marketers Association, Search Engine Marketers of Portland (SEMpdx), and Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA).

Prior to founding aimClear, Marty worked as an A&R executive for Polygram International Publishing, and also served as creative director for the Minnesota CBS affiliate. A musician by trade, Marty is a renowned artist known for his recordings of dolphins, wolves, loons, and water environments, set to global acoustic music. In the 1990s, Marty helped create kiosks in retail stores that played recorded nature sounds, enticing customers to purchase the new-age music. Prior to that, Marty’s career as a pianist took him from nightclubs to stadiums around the world, with gigs ranging from VFW bands to internationally known acts.

Marty enjoys camping, canoeing, fishing, eating (both cooking and patronizing James-Beard-award-winning restaurants), fine wine, listening to and recording music, and coaching his daughter’s soccer team.

7 Ways to Explode Your Company's Brand Through
the Power of Content Marketing and Blogging

Let's face it-- Most business blogs aren't very good, but the reason for this is simple: Businesses are not telling consumers what they want to hear.

In this fast and furious seminar, popular speaker Marcus Sheridan will discuss how he took his swimming pool company to the top of the entire swimming pool industry, all because he was willing to address subjects no one else was willing to address. He'll also show actionable ways in which you can build your company's blog and brand to get immediate results.

    About the speaker

    MarcusSpeaking

The story of Marcus Sheridan is a unique one. In 2001, he stumbled across his first business with two friends and began installing swimming pools out of the back of a beat-up pickup truck. 9 years later, and with the help of incredible innovations through inbound and content marketing, Sheridan’s company became one of the largest pool installers in the US and currently has the most visited swimming pool web site in the world.

With such success, in late 2009, Sheridan started his sales/marketing/and personal development blog—The Sales Lion, and has since grown it to one of the strongest blog communities on the web. With so much success teaching others about content and inbound marketing, Sheridan has now moved on to become a very popular keynote and business speaker, known for his boundless energy and contagious enthusiasm when on stage.
